MINDFULNESS FOR DAILY LIFE

There are many misunderstandings about mindfulness and how it can be applied to everyday life. I’m committed to teaching easily learnable practices that are designed to relieve needless suffering and stress while supporting the cultivation of acceptance, ease, kindness, and joy.

— Larry Cammarata

Mindfulness for Daily Life is an educational class designed for anyone interested in integrating more aliveness, presence, emotional resilience/stability, and interpersonal effectiveness into their personal and/or professional lives. Participants will learn a straightforward method of mindfulness meditation that is not dependent on any belief system. The framework of this class promotes the idea that anyone can learn to meditate, especially when you understand the many popular myths and misconceptions surrounding meditation. For example, you don’t have to sit still or make your mind blank when meditating. This class also views mindfulness as an activity that extends far beyond meditation. Mindfulness can be applied to all activities throughout your daily life to cultivate a greater sense of satisfaction and ease. No matter what your current challenges are, the methods taught in this class are aimed at creating acceptance, kindness, and peace within yourself and in relation to others. And beyond coping with the challenges of daily living, participants will learn ways to strengthen attention, decrease stress, and increase joy.
